ULLR Ski, Bike & Social Club had a very busy fall hiking, and now its time to focus on winter activities while preparing for the clubs 70th anniversary celebration at the Spring Banquet. With several autumn hikes on the 2019 calendar, a full moon outing at the Richardson Nature Center was one of the highlights. Several club bike rides allowed members and guests to explore several trails throughout Minnesota. Now, as the calendar fills with snowshoe and downhill ski outings, our western trip is to Big Sky, Montana, in March. Check out all the fun activities on the clubs events calendar.
ULLR fall hiking memories
In spite of having to cancel and/or reschedule several hikes, we still completed many, including a full moon hike starting at the Richardson Nature Center. It was a clear and pleasant evening.
Our biking season explored many paths and trails this year
Local rides covered many bike paths and trails in Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, McLeod, Ramsey and Washington Counties. Weekend trips included Nisswa and Lanesboro. It was a great biking season!
October was spooktacular fun
In October, several members enjoyed the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at the Minnesota Zoo. This was indeed spectacular. If you haven’t seen it, you really need to go next year.
Now our 2020 events calendar is in full swing
Our winter program of snowshoeing and downhill skiing has started. Our western trip is to Big Sky, Montana, March 15-21. Check the Ullr website for all dates and locations.
Coming up May 16th is a very special event. Ullr Ski Club is turning 70 this year. In combination with our annual Spring Banquet, we are also having a 70th birthday party at the Minnesota Valley Country Club in Bloomington. There will be a short program covering all 70 years. All former Ullr members are welcome. It promises to be a fun evening with old friends sharing great memories. Look for sign up information at www.ullr.org.
