It’s cold and snowy, so most of the Hiawatha Bicycle Club members have stowed away their bicycles for the winter. But we are not in hibernating! Some are getting into fat biking and we have our HBC Winter Walker sessions going on. Soon our Smart Cycling educational series will start and of course, many members are planning on taking in some of the MSC trips. Plus, our first Friday of the month Birthday Bash continues at the Edina D’Amico’s Restaurant, usually with a walk beforehand.
Plans of the Hiawatha Bicycle Club board
The HBC Board is planning out the next season of riding, recruiting new ride leaders, and promoting bicycling safety. Visit our website at https://hiawathabike.org/ in early January for our Smart Cycling series, and to join our Winter Walkers Group and monthly Birthday Bashes.
HBC is a recreational riding club. Our core value is providing friendly rides and opportunities to create lasting friendships. It’s not about the speed or distance – it’s about riding together and socializing after the ride. We offer several rides for those of different abilities. You do not need to be a member to ride, so check us out at our website where our ride schedule is posted.
