VIENNA, BUDAPEST & PRAGUE September 12 – 23, 2018
Vienna, Budapest and Prague, some of the grand capitals of the past. Back in the 1800s, British aristocracy would embark on tours of the Grand Capitals of Europe, and these cities were always included. From the grandeur, splendor and opulence of Vienna, to a trip down the Danube River to Budapest. With the hills of Buda on one side of the Danube and Pest on the other, both connected by bridges and the famous Chain Bridge, this exotic and now eclectic city offers the best of old and new. What can one say about Prague? Maybe Lani Taylor said it best: “The streets of Prague were a fantasia scarcely touched by the twenty-first century—or the twentieth or nineteenth, for that matter.”
Then there are the cousin cities of Bratislava and Salzburg, which are well worth an optional day trip from Vienna. These cities may be on your bucket list, as they are on mine. Come join us on this adventure. Bike, boat the Danube, hike, sightsee, visit museums and the many castles that abound in these cities.
The cost of $2699 per person is based on double occupancy, and covers flight on Delta, hotels, trains, hotel transfers and many meals. Optional Activities: Hiking in Budapest, Kayak/canoe the Danube in Budapest, Hiking outside of Prague in the Český Ráj Park, Canoe the Sazava River outside of Prague, Day trips to Salzburg & Sound of Music Tour, Day trip to Brataslava in Slovakia, Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna.
