Hi from Tuesday Wipe-outs! We’ve had a few fun fall activities, and ski season has started!
A small group showed up at the Arboretum on October 3rd, and they had a great time hiking, viewing the fall flora and artwork on display, and enjoying lunch together.
The Annual Fall Luncheon on October 17th was well attended as we celebrated our FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY with photos, interviews with past members, and a style show of old-fashioned ski wear that some of us pulled out of our back closets!
Lots of good food and great costume wearers showed up at Regina’s for her annual Haunted Halloween Potluck on October 31st.
A group of Wipeouts (and four husbands) enjoyed a Bike and Barge trip from Venice to Montova, Italy at the end of October, with most of us extending the trip for several more days of sightseeing in Rome. We were blessed with perfect weather, an interesting itinerary, lovely scenery, and a beautifully outfitted barge with fabulous guides, gourmet chefs, and fun international fellow travelers.
Our ski season started with a cookie party at Wild Mountain on December 12th! Yay! I love to ski, and we had a great day skiing at Wild Mountain! Lots of yummy cookies, too! At our New Member Welcome on December 19th, we greeted new and prospective members.
For readers who are not TWOs, we are an all women’s ski club with about 120 members. We ski on Tuesdays all winter long, meeting for lunch at noon. We take a ski trip to the mountains every year, and enjoy lots of other Tuesday (usually) activities during the rest of the year. Some of our members have retired from skiing but still join the skiers for lunch at the ski chalets on Tuesdays, and participate in many of our other activities. We love welcoming new members and making new friends!
Check the activity calendar on the https://www.midwestfun.org/ website for more of our winter activities. Join the TWOs for fun skiing with friends and get your own copy of our newsletter so you can have fun with us! All for now!
