Hi Tuesday Wipe-outs, here is my review of the activities we have enjoyed over this past summer and some information on what’s coming up next for our all-women’s ski club!
For readers who are not familiar with TWOs, we are an all-women’s ski club with about 120 members. We ski on Tuesdays all winter long, first meeting for lunch at noon. We take a ski trip to the mountains every year and enjoy lots of other Tuesday (usually) activities during the rest of the year. Some of our members have retired from skiing but still join us for lunch at Afton and participate in many of our other activities. We love welcoming new members and making new friends! Check us out on the MSC website http://www.tuesdaywipeouts.com, or https://www.midwestfun.org/.

Summer activities have included an art tour at Caponi Art Park, lunch at the St. James Hotel in Red Wing, a golf outing, and a bike ride around the Minneapolis lakes with a potluck lunch afterward at Kay and Sandra’s home.
Our annual Wisconsin trip included canoeing on the Namekagon River, biking and swimming during the three day trip in August. We stayed at the cabins of some of our members, enjoyed dining out twice, a dessert potluck, as well as some games and fellowship. A few of us went out biking on the Gandy Dancer Trail in search of lunch and a bit of shopping on Wednesday morning. Good times!

Other August activities included swimming and a potluck lunch for a group of Wipe-Outs that gathered for a pool party at the home of one of our members, and canoeing the St. Croix River.
Twenty-two of us enjoyed staying at Cedar Valley Resort in Whalen, MN and biking the Root River Trails that ran along the river in both directions!
A Segway tour from St. Anthony Main to the Twins’ stadium and the Sculpture Garden and back was our final September activity. Fun!

Coming up are a trip to the Arboretum on October 3rd, the Annual Fall Luncheon October 17th and a Haunted Halloween Potluck on October 31st. Should be fun!
Our ski season starts with a cookie party at Wild Mountain on December 12th. Bring cookies to share with the group. Bring or buy your own lunch…we’ll meet at noon! We would love to greet you at our New Member Welcome at Afton Alps on December 19th.. Again, bring or buy your own lunch and meet the rest of the Wipe-outs upstairs in the Oak Room on the end opposite the bar.
The MSC Winter Carnival will be at Blackjack/Indianhead January 5-7. Watch for more info on that later.
We have more activities set for the winter, but you’ll have to join the TWOs and get your own copy of our newsletter so you know what’s doing. All for now!
