The Traverski Club had a fun and eventful summer. We had a Welcome Summer camping weekend June 2-3, and ended with the Farewell Summer camping weekend September 15-16. In between, there were many social outings, gatherings, potluck cook-outs, and Carole’s deck party. Also, there were volunteer opportunities at the Channel One Food Bank and clean-up with the Adopt-a-Highway program.
In October, we move our general club meetings indoors. This year, we will meet the first Thursday of the month at the Rochester Eagles Club and the third Thursday at Rooster’s Too with the exception of October 19th, when the fall membership meeting will be held at the Eagles Club. New and renewing members will have the chance to join for the upcoming year. There will be socializing, light appetizers, door prizes, and displays of past and future club events.
The Holiday Party is Saturday, December 2nd at the Rochester Elks Club. The party includes a social hour, dinner, presentation of the Most Valuable Traverski award, and a DJ with dancing music. With the arrival of December, it’ll be time to head outside to enjoy some snow fun both on and off the slopes.
