Each winter Ski Hawks sponsor trips and events to various ski & snowboarding areas, both in the western states, upper mid-west and Canada. We also organize frequent local weekend ski & snowboard events to areas within 50 miles of the Twin Cities. here are some off the upcoming activities scheduled:
Winter Carnival is coming to Big Snow Resort, (Indianhead and Blackjack Mountains) in Wakefield, MI. The new dates are January 5-7, 2018. We’ve been there before for Winter Carnival and experienced good snow and outstanding service. But do you know how Big Snow Resort got started? Just in case you don’t – Jack English, an amateur pilot, is credited with creating the ski industry in that area in the 1950s.
Ski Hawks will be hosting the Wine & Cheese Party at Indianhead on Saturday, January 6th. We are also hosting the Logo T-Shirt contest for the second year. The 2016 winners are pictured! You need only wear your favorite or forbidden logo t-shirt to the banquet as judging occurs during happy hour and the winners are announced at the banquet – then you can change into your “Party Pants” for dancing and partying. To ensure a spot for a weekend of fun, sign up early. Forms are found on the Ski Hawk website.
Don’t forget about our Western trips. Ski-Hawks are headed to Big Sky Montana, 2February 10-16, 2018 and to Winter Park, Colorado April 7-11. Winter Park is a value trip – great prices.
We have a couple fun events on the books:
Come to the Season Kick-Off Party, October 7th at O’Gara’s Bar & Grill in St. Paul. The fun officially starts at 6:00pm.
Oktoberfest is at Gasthaus Bavarian Hunter, September 23rd at 5:00pm. The Oktoberfest celebration began in 1810! That’s a lot beer over the years.
Save the date – October 28th for the Halloween Party/Pub Crawl. Details are being finalized.
