With picture perfect biking weather the Hiawatha Bicycling Club (HBC) enjoyed another fun 4th of July this year. With fair weather riding conditions and sinfully delicious food served the 2017 Tour D’Amico was another memorable occasion. Net proceeds from this years ride benefited several supporting groups and charities, see below.

The Tour again embraced the traditional scenic 26, 45 and 62 mile touring bicycle routes. Concluded by ride participants again enjoying another D’ Amico & Sons mouthwatering list of flavorful pastas, wood-oven pizzas, grilled entrees, salads and delectable desserts and fruits.

Over the last eight years Hiawatha Bicycling Club has contributed over $15,000 of the proceeds from the Tour D’Amico ride to support biking safety and encouragement in Minnesota. Here are some of the organizations that have benefited from the clubs annual ride:

- Three Rivers Park District’s Trail Improvemnts
- Free Bikes 4 Kidz

About Hiawatha Bicycling Club
The Hiawatha Bicycling Club is a recreational riding club. Every month during the season ride leader of the club provide about 60 rides to appeal to a wide variety of rider skills and desires. The club offers slow, medium and fast passed rides. Rides offered vary in distance from 15 to 100 miles in length and rides over every type of terrain. The Club is social in nature in that they have many rides built around casual riding, sight-seeing, meals, charitable activities, etc. You will find most of the club rides offered throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area, with a few in other states and even in other countries. In other words, they offer your kind of ride!
